so here’s a gripe.
I’m looking through DevArt’s popular photography for inspiration because I want to do some creative shoots soon. And I’m so frustrated because… while many of the photos are very beautiful, they are almost all of women or feminine presenting people, and almost ALL of them are white. This bothers me a lot. I have looked and looked and they’re all white. In artistic or commercial photography with models, I’ll find one shot of a person of color for every 50 to 100 white models. How am I supposed to learn as a photographer how to adjust lighting and settings and makeup for different skin colors if almost every fking picture on DevArt is of a white girl I mean shit

As you can see, yes there are SOME diversity, but so little that idk if I’d even use that word like… idk maybe I’m overreacting.
And look, while there are HARDLY ANY DUDES, almost all of them are white too.
If you know of a better website where I can look at photography and learn from other peoples’ techniques, please let me know. I need some fuckin diversity at this point, like the “frail pale white chick with the forlorn expression and wispy hair” has been beaten into my head and I’m not learning shit at this point
